hi
we have our paypal account set to auto add sales tax to our transactions, and it does so just fine for our own 'pay now" buttons on our website, yet in testing the paypal payment facility on eventbrite, we notice that the sales tax is not added to the transactions. we are wondering if anyone else is experiencing this too? Is paypal meant to be adding the sales tax and we should log a support ticket with them? or does the auto adding of sales tax "officially" not work with event brite purchases? It would be SO GREAT if eventbrite could allow for taxes somehow. It is utterly painful, not to mention ugly, to have to include things like "price includes $XXX GST" on the ticket name just so that it shows up right on a paypal receipt. Even better, would be to be able to include on payment setup for events, the ability to put forward information to paypal (via the html variables - http://www.onlinemerchantnetwork.com...essage.id=1493) so that businesses can include official information to ensure the Govt stays happy with generated receipts. In our case, a receipt is not an official receipt unless it includes our GST registration number. Any help on achieving this sort of thing would be much appreciated. Thank you |
